How Receiving Faxes Works

With VoltFax, incoming faxes are received securely over the internet and delivered directly to your account—no fax machine or phone line required.

Receiving a Fax

When someone sends a fax to your assigned VoltFax fax number:

1. The fax is received by the VoltFax platform.
2. The transmission is processed and converted into a digital document.
3. The fax is securely stored in your account.
4. You receive a notification (if enabled).
5. You can view, download, forward, or delete the fax at any time.

Access Your Faxes

You can access your incoming faxes from your Inbox using any supported web browser after signing in to your VoltFax account.

Security

Incoming faxes are protected using industry-standard encryption during transmission and while stored within VoltFax. For additional protection, we recommend enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your account.
