Release a Fax Number

If you no longer need a fax number, you can remove it from your account.

Release a Number

1. Sign in to your VoltFax account.
2. Go to Fax Numbers.
3. Select the number you wish to release.
4. Choose Release Number.
5. Confirm the action.

Before Releasing

Before releasing a fax number:

• Download any important fax history.
• Notify anyone who regularly sends faxes to that number.
• Update your business contact information.
• Verify that you no longer need the number.

Important

Once a fax number is released:

• It may no longer receive incoming faxes.
• It may become available for reassignment.
• The same number may not be available if you decide to add it again later.
