Troubleshooting Email-to-Fax

If you’re having trouble sending a fax by email, the following steps can help identify and resolve the issue.

Check the Recipient Address

Make sure you’re using the correct Email-to-Fax address format and that the fax number is accurate.

Verify Your Attachments

Confirm that:

  • The file format is supported.
  • The files are not password protected.
  • The attachments uploaded successfully.
  • The total file size is within your account limits.

Review Your Email

Before sending, verify:

  • The recipient address is correct.
  • The attachments are included.
  • The email was sent from an authorized email address, if required.

Check Transmission Status

If the email was accepted but the fax failed, sign in to your VoltFax account to review the transmission details and any reported errors.

Contact Support

If the problem continues after verifying the above steps, contact VoltFax Support and provide:

  • The approximate date and time the email was sent
  • The sending email address
  • The destination fax number
  • Any error message you received
